Miramax hoping for another Bridget-like box office success

The success of Bridget Jones's Diary has prompted Miramax to secure the film rights to another British journalist's book based on a series of newspaper columns. I Don't Know How She Does is based on the weekly scribblings of UK scribe Alison Pearson about the life of a fictional city banker who has to juggle working life with motherhood. As with Bridget author Helen Fielding, the columns were published in quality newspaper The Daily Telegraph. '[Kate Reddy] will be a wonderful part for an actress to play,' enthused Harvey Weinstein. 'We are confident that movie audiences will enjoy discovering Kate Reddy as she balances the challenges of being a working mother and business executive in today's busy world.'
