Will Smith struts his stuff at the Bad Boys II premiere

You've got to had it to Will Smith, the man sure does know how to throw a party. Rather than the elegant and sometimes formal approach often taken to premieres, last night's Bad Boys II event was a full-on, booty-shaking street party. Hip-hop blasted from towering speakers, half-naked dancing girls strutting their stuff on boxes lining the red carpet and further revellers got their figurative freak on while busting moves on the balcony of the cinema itself. Accompanied by co-star Gabrielle Union, director Michael Bay and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Smith cruised down the gold, Bad Boys-branded carpet in designer shades and looking as slick as the Fresh Prince we all came to know him as. Leaving the street party and entering the cinema foyer where Empire Online was quietly getting our groove on, the remarkably friendly star took the time to spread the love around. "It's beautiful man," he told us. "Any time you come this far from home and get that kind of reaction it's great for the ego. Makes you feel real good. London definitely gets it in." "You know there was an early draft of the script that actually set Bad Boys II in London but that script never came together. Maybe Bad Boys III, we could blow some stuff up here." Diplomatically leaving bridges unburned, Smith non-committally said he might be up for a third film if the script and of course the money was right. "I just turned thirty-five so I got four or five more years worth of action movies left before I settle down to my more cerebral approach to filmmaking. You never can say never. If they put it together and make a good offer within that time then it's absolutely something I'd consider." Flashing his grin and strutting to the music, Smith left Empire Online to get down with our bad selves, but just how bad is the former Fresh Prince? "I'm so bad, I'm good," he grinned.
