Former James Bond and acting household name Roger Moore headed the roll call in the Queen's Birthday Honours over the weekend. The 75-year-old actor became Sir Roger Moore when he was granted a knighthood for his many years of acting and charity work. "I am so proud to be the recipient of this great honor," said Moore. "I am doubly proud because this is an acknowledgment of UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, an organization I am honoured to work for as an international goodwill ambassador. I only wish my mother and father could have been alive to see this day." Fellow honourees included Helen Mirren, who became a dame; Kristin Scott Thomas, who received an OBE, David Beckham, Sting and a dedicated Glaswegian tea lady.
