Reports surfaced last month that the next Bond film, heretofore usually referred to as Bond 25, would be filming under the title Shatterhand. Now, according to producer Barbara Broccoli, who posed for a picture with Instagram-happy autograph hunter India Grace, that certainly won't be the final title.
Now it's out there, we'd guess the Bond production team, led by Broccoli and Eon productions partner Michael G. Wilson, with Cary Fukunaga in the director's chair, would change the Shatterhand title even for filming, lest people start finding it at locations and taking pictures of shooting.
Despite the fact that Shatterhand has deep ties to the Bond book series – it was a codename for Blofeld – it would seem that we won't now see the name plastered all over official merchandise and in the main credits for the film. She could, of course, be pulling a fast one to distract attention from the name, but this flat denial certainly has the ring of truth about it than some prevarication.
Rami Malek is in talks to play the film's villain opposite returning 007 Daniel Craig. It's currently scheduled to arrive in April next year, and we can expect some official announcements sooner rather than later, if Bond film tradition holds.
