And so the Bond Bad News Machine keeps on spitting out obstacles. With no official confirmation – which is hardly surprising – the stories about delays and issues with the 25th outing just continue to pile up. On the heels of reports that the script is an ever-evolving beast as the cameras roll, now there is word that production will be delayed because star Daniel Craig has fallen and injured his ankle.

The Guardian picked up reports from The Sun that Craig was shooting in Jamaica when he slipped and fell during an action sequence. The subsequent ankle injury saw him flown to the States for treatment. Though the cast and crew had been scheduled to head to Pinewood in London for the next section of filming, that has now been delayed pending Craig's return.

Despite the delay, it's not currently thought that it'll be enough to push the release date back, which will no doubt have the producers breathing a sigh of relief.

Bond 25, still on the hunt for an official title, has Cary Fukunaga in the director's chair, and Lea Seydoux, Ana de Armas, Naomie Harris, Lashana Lynch, Rami Malek, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw also among its cast. It's still scheduled for release in the UK on 3 April next year.
