Ryan Coogler has assembled one of the most interesting casts ever seen in a Marvel movie for Black Panther, and despite being close to starting production, he hasn't finished adding good actors. Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown will be part of the sprawling ensemble, playing N'Jobu.
While he doesn't have a history in the comics, N'Jobu certainly appears to have one with Chadwick Boseman's title character, though whether that means he'll be friend or foe has yet to be seen.
Brown joins a cast that also includes Boseman, Forest Whitaker, Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong'o, Angela Bassett, Daniel Kaluuya and Martin Freeman. Coogler, who has written the script with Joe Robert Cole, is working towards a 9 February 2018 release date in the UK, with the movie scheduled to hit the States on 16 February the same year.
Having won plaudits (and that Emmy for his role in The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, Brown is currently on TV screens in US drama This Is Us. He'll also be seen in Marshall, the big screen biopic of first African-American US Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, played by one Chadwick Boseman.
