Shooting is well underway now on DC film Black Adam, with Dwayne Johnson in the title role and Jaume Collet-Serra directing. The film has added another actor to its sprawling ensemble, and its someone who has a little experience with Johnson – Uli Latukefu, who plays a younger version of the actor in sitcom Young Rock.
Black Adam, which introduces the Shazam antagonist-turned-antihero to the DC movie universe, features Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone. Marwan Kenzari, Sarah Shahi, Mohammed Amer, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui are also among the cast. While Latukefu's role in the film is under wraps, there has got to be speculation that he could be once again playing a younger version of Johnson.
The story is largely under wraps, though it should feature some of Black Adam's origin story and does bring in the Justice Society of America, who don't necessarily see eye to eye with how he dishes out his brand of heroism.
Black Adam will be out in the US on 29 July, and while it doesn't have a confirmed date for the UK yet, we figure it'll be close to that.
