It’s not every first-time director who nets the likes of Billy Crudup, Harvey Keitel, Mandy Moore, Mia Farrow and Bob Balaban. But then, not every first-time director is Justin Theroux, who has appeared in the likes of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Mulholland Drive and Zoolander.
Theroux is calling the shots on Dedication, a new romantic comedy about a misogynistic kid’s book writer (Crudup) who has to collaborate with a young female illustrator (Moore) after his writing partner and only real friend (Keitel) dies.
Theroux developed the script with writer David Bromberg, and will start shooting next year in New York.
