When you’re known as the daughter of David Lynch, stepping into the world of film directing can be a daunting prospect – you have a little bit of a reputation to live up to.
And when your first attempt is the distinctly disliked Boxing Helena, getting back on the horse can take even long. That seems to be the case for Jennifer Chambers Lynch, who hasn’t picked up the megaphone since 1993’s amputee pic.
But now she’s back and has cast Ladder 49’s Billy Burke as an FBI agent tracking a serial killer in supernatural cop thriller Surveillance.
The plot finds the intrepid fed hunting the murdering psychopath with the help of his would-be victims. Kent Harper co-wrote the script with Lynch and production is scheduled for next month.
