The life and work of Philip K Dick, the prodigious author behind the likes of Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? and A Scanner Darkly, is certainly interesting enough to warrant a biopic.
But director Matthew Wilder is planning something a little different with his indie film Panasonic– he wants to take us on a “comic journey into the life and mind of one of sci-fi's most brilliant authors. Paranoid conspiracies of the highest order, drug-fueled inter-dimensional shifts, and 1970's pop culture combine for the mind-bending adventure of the century.”
And just who is the man chosen to portray Dick in this new film? Bill Pullman – provided he signs. Last seen in Scary Movie 4 and Alien Autopsy, we’re sure he’ll want to shake off those career nightmares and start growing a scruffy beard to play the legendary writer.
