Director Lone Scherfig has the cameras rolling on her latest film, currently known as Secrets From The Russian Tea Room. And she's adding new names to the cast roster, with Bill Nighy, Jay Baruchel and Caleb Landry Jones all now part of the ensemble.
Set in New York (and due to head to the city for filming later), the new movie is a modern-day fairy tale that takes place in and around a Russian restaurant in the city. There, the lives of four charismatic and vulnerable characters intersect in different ways.
Nighty is playing the restaurant's owner, the son of Russian immigrants who meets Baruchel's lawyer, a man with high ethics and low self-esteem. Jones, meanwhile, will play an unemployed young man. They join a cast that already includes Andrea Riseborough, Tahar Rahim and Zoe Kazan. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scherfig plans to change the movie's name before it arrives on screens.
