As actor James D'Arcy plots his move into writing and directing, he's found the initial two castmembers for his first full-length movie. Bill Nighy and Jack Lowden will star in Made In Italy.
Written by D'Arcy, the film sees Nighy as a bohemian artist living in London who has long been estranged from his son, Jack (Lowden). But they're forced to team up and head to Italy to sell off the house that he inherited from his late wife.
The cameras should be rolling next year in Tuscany and London, which sounds like a nice job. D'Arcy recruited Lowden after working alongside him in this year's Dunkirk and as for Nighy... Well, if you can get Bill Nighy, you get Bill Nighy.
Lowden has England Is Mine and Fighting With My Family on the way, and will also be seen in Mary Queen Of Scots. Nighy has worked on The Bookshop and is filming Heidi: Queen Of The Mountain.
