Check your fridge for Sumerian demigods because Ghostbusters 3 looks like it's a go. After enough rumour, counter-rumour and general vapour to give Janine a conniption, Hollywood.com is reporting that Bill Murray has finally agreed to return as Gotham's sass-mouthed parapsychologist Peter Venkman for a third tussle with the paranormal.

Until now, Murray has straight-batted all **Ghostbusters **question, leading to suggestions that a 'Ghostbusters: Next Generation'-type treatment would be needed for the movie. Until now... "It was kind of crazy", explains 'Busters co-star Harold Ramis of the change of heart, "but just out of nowhere, I get a phone call from Bill at almost 3am... and he simply said, 'Yeah, OK, I'm in!' That's Bill Murray for you. Surprising and straight to the point."

As recently as February, Dan Aykroyd had abandoned hope of luring the Murricane back on board for a third installment. "We communicate frequently", Aykroyd explained in an **Empire **webchat, "and his position on the involvement in Ghostbusters 3 has been made clear and I respect that."

A new script draft by Men In Black 3 scribe Etan Cohenseems to have swung it, though. Watch this space for more.
