Sofia Coppola has worked with Bill Murray a couple of times now, and they're back for more gentle drama and careworn comedy with On The Rocks, which finds Murray as a philandering dad to Rashida Jones. Check out the first trailer below.
Jones plays Laura, who thinks she’s happily hitched, but when her husband Dean (Marlon Wayans) starts logging late hours at the office with a new co-worker, Laura begins to fear the worst. She turns to the one man she suspects may have insight: her charming, impulsive father Felix (Murray), who insists they investigate the situation.
As the two begin prowling New York at night, careening from uptown parties to downtown hotspots, they discover at the heart of their journey lies their own relationship...
Murray and Jones have an easy chemistry, and it's certainly on brand for Coppola. The film is a co-production of US company A25 and Apple's TV+ service, but beyond a mention of October, there's no set date for its release yet.
