Better Call Saul Season 2 Episode 1 Switch

Good news for everyone who is enjoying the misadventures of The Man who Will Be Saul and The Man Who Is Forever Ehrmantraut: Better Call Saul has been renewed for a third season.

The show, produced in the US by AMC and Sony Television and carried by Netflix in the UK, has been a solid performer in both countries, telling a very different story to Breaking Bad, but in no less compelling style.

Bob Odenkirk stars as Jimmy McGill, a lawyer endlessly waging an internal war between his con man tendencies (he's sometimes known as Slippin' Jimmy thanks to one of his favourite hustles) and his attempts to become a better person. Part of his quest is driven by his feelings for fellow legal type Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) and the endless struggle for approval from older brother Chuck (Michael McKean). And then there's Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a snub-nosed, world-weary former cop who can be called upon to carry out all manner of illegal activities, yet is driven to help his widowed daughter-in-law and granddaughter. And while we know where both men end up, it's been a fun ride seeing them get there.

Show creators and executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould will be back for the new season, which will consist of 10 episodes. The second season is airing now, and you can read our recap reviews right here.
