When Joel Schumacher turned the Dark Knight into the Crap Crusader, the hopes of millions were smashed into tiny bat-shaped pieces. Gone was the gothic fairytale of Tim Burton's vision, replaced by a live-action cartoon made with the kind lazy disrespect for source material that has caused nations to fall and mountains to crumble. It's with abundant joy, then, that we greet Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins, a film which promises to not only restore Batman to his rightful place, but to propel him to new heights altogether.
