Che film in the works

Benicio Del Toro is in London this week to promote his role in Guy Ritchie's new movie, Snatch and Empire Online took some time to chat to the actor about his latest role and new projects. What was the difference between working on Snatch and a Hollywood production? 'Well my last movie was Traffic with Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. That had a $50 million budget and there wasn't much of a difference at all... I was in London for two weeks doing Snatch and it wasn't laid back it was hard work.' Any truth to the rumours that you're involved in a Che Guevara movie project? Benicio: I've got a couple of projects in the air at the moment and that's one of them. Someone has a script and if that someone comes up with a good film there's a producer that wants to work on the project. Would you direct? No - do Che and direct? I don't think so, that would be too much. A lot of American actors are coming over to London to appear in the West End - would you consider a return to the stage? Benicio: 'If the role was good enough, sure.'
