Steven Soderbergh's final final movie - the final one after all the other final movies - is a TV movie for HBO called Behind The Candelabra, and the teaser trailer for it has just arrived online.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have any actual footage from the film, instead dishing up some tried-and-true top notch Soderberghy typefaces and a spiralling cascade of piano keys crashing to the floor. Why piano keys? Why an even jauntier version of Begin the Beguine? Because **Behind The Candelabra **is a Liberace biopic, darling, and don't you forget it.

In the TV film, Liberace is Michael Douglas, while Soderbergh regular Matt Damon is Liberace's lover Scott Thorson. The piece is based on Thorson's biography, Behind The Candelabra: My Life With Liberace, which explains the otherwise quite obscure title.

Liberace - or, as his friends called him, Lee - lived one hell of a life, so it'll be fascinating to see how Soderbergh cracks the perennial difficult biopic nut, especially with a character who's so full of character. Then there's the chance to see Douglas and Damon sparring off each other, making this May 26 - Behind The Candelabra's release date - all the more important, both for Liberace and Soderbergh fans.
