Disney have magically transformed the likes of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and The Jungle Book from beloved animated classics to CGI/live-action remakes. Now, with a wave of its magic remake wand, Beauty And The Beast gets a lavish 21st century update, and we've been invited to be the guest for the first full trailer. Watch below.
We briefly glimpsed Emma Watson's Belle in the first teaser way back in May, and got our first look at Dan Stevens' Beast last week in the form of a few new images. But this is our best look yet.
Bill Condon is directing this tale as old as time – or at least as old as the 1991 original. As the trailer suggests, it touches upon plenty of familiar moments from the animated version, tracing the tale of the young woman imprisoned in an enchanted castle by a beast-like man, with whom she ultimately falls in love.
Joining that lovestruck pair in the cast are Luke Evans as Gaston, Ewan McGregor as a candlestick, Ian McKellen as a clock, and Emma Thompson as a teapot. Plus, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Stanley Tucci, Josh Gad and Kevin Kline. Disney invites you to be its guest from 17 March next year, when Beauty And The Beast arrives in cinemas.
