It’s A Bachelorette Bash To Forget In The New Rough Night Trailer

Rough Night

After a couple of red band trailers for new party-gone-wrong pic Rough Night, here's the less raunchy version, which still features Scarlett Johansson and friends trying to deal with a tricky situation.

The movie stars Johansson as Jess, a bride-to-be heading with her college friends for a wild bachelorette trip to Miami. Joining her are Zoë Kravitz's Blair, Jillian Bell's Alice, Kate McKinnon's Pippa and Ilana Glazer's Frankie, intending to drink, party and otherwise have a good time. But events take a darker turn when the male stripper they hire for some entertainment accidentally dies... And then the question becomes whether they cover up the death or admit what happened.

This new trailer peeks into the group's history (Pippa is an outlier, a friend from Jess' study time in Australia, which mostly seems to be an excuse for McKinnon to use an accent), and their dynamic. Still to be answered is quite why they don't just report the accident immediately, but of course then the hijinks are sidelined...

Rough Night is directed by Broad City veteran Lucia Aniello, who also wrote the script alongside fellow City script bod Paul W. Downs, who appears in the movie. It'll be out in the States on 16 June and hits the UK on 25 August.
