The kind folk at Disney have offered up an early Christmas present in the gift-wrapped shape of a clip from Up, 2009’s eagerly-awaited Pixar-powered gem.
Expanding on the already released trailer, the footage shows the first, high-altitude meeting of curmudgeonly balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner) and his squeaky stowaway Russell (Jordan Nagai), the eight year-old Wilderness Explorer he finds clinging to his front porch with the Earth disappearing far below.
With snappy camerawork, super-smart sound effects and the reassuring presence of Monsters Inc. director Pete Docter at the helm, Pixar’s latest looks more fun than a helium-inhanced hootenanny. Hold on tight or, failing that, click above to watch the footage...
