It’s not exactly the clearest shot in the world, and we’re fairly certain the official version will be up before too long (we’ll swap them out when it appears), but the first look at the initial teaser poster featuring most of The Avengers has been spotted at the Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas.

As you might expect, the image features the heroes – Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man, Chris Evans’ Captain America, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and what we presume is an early look at Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk (though we’re pretty certain his look will change as the effects evolve through post-production) springing into action to do battle with evil types, including Tom Hiddleston’s Loki (not pictured).
Also intriguing is the look at Evans' slightly altered Captain America suit, since Steve Rogers updates his look for his 21st century adventure.
Joss Whedon is busy calling the shots on the film in New Mexico, before moving on to various other US locales, including Ohio.
**The Avengers **assemble on May 4 next year.
