If you thought the airport battle in Captain America: Civil War was as epic as the Marvel Cinematic Universe could get, Anthony Mackie has news for you. Avengers: Infinity War will apparently include a brawl that involves a staggering 40 superheroes.

The Falcon himself teased the smackdown during the Captain America panel at the Ace Comic Con in Arizona. Mackie suggested that the scene could be the one seen in the Infinity War trailer where a Wakanda-bound Captain America leads the likes of Black Panther, Hulk, War Machine, and the Winter Soldier into the fray.

“There was one day we were on set and were doing this scene that’s in the trailer where we’re all running to battle,” Mackie said at the panel, as reported by comicbook.com. “You know, all of us are on set and it’s like forty superheroes.”

Chris Evans added: “That day was really fun, I know the day you’re talking about, that day was [snickers]... you’ll see. It was a great day with a lot of great people.”

The Russo Brothers’ MCU epic is now only four months away, picking up after the Avengers-splintering events of Civil War, and pitching Earth’s mightiest heroes against purple intergalactic mega-baddie Thanos (Josh Brolin). Infinity War is set to feature 67 Marvel characters, with uber-producer Kevin Feige promising that the next two Avengers films will be ‘the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe’ so far.

See how it all goes down when Thanos’ floaty space throne arrives in UK cinemas on April 27.
