One of the break-out characters from Black Panther, T’Challa’s
genius younger sister Shuri, played by Brit actor Letitia Wright, became an instant fan favourite. She also had a part to play in Avengers: Infinity War, attempting to safely pluck the Mind Stone from the head of Vision while war waged on Wakanda – but her ultimate fate was never confirmed. Things looked shaky for Shuri in the first Avengers: Endgame trailer, with a background detail in a shot listing her as ‘Missing’. And now, if a stream of new character posters is anything to go by, our favourite Disney Princess did indeed get snapped.
Marvel has unveiled posters for all of their heroes – snapped or otherwise – ahead of Endgame. Those who remain un-dusted for the grand finale are featured in colour, while those who were takden by Thanos’ attack are in moody monochrome. Shuri is – you guessed it – in the latter camp.
That’s not the only interesting wrinkle here. Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, first introduced in Thor: Ragnarok, also has a poster – and she’s not been greyed out. Does that mean she survived The Snap, and will pop up in Endgame? Her whereabouts, along with fellow Ragnarok favourite Korg, was left unaddressed in Infinity War’s opening scene, in which Thanos attacked the ship of remaining Asgardians.
We also have colourful pics for Pepper Potts and Happy, indicating that they too survived.
And here all of the posters together – 16 overall for the snapped, and 16 for the unsnapped. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
