This is it. There’s just one week to go until Avengers: Endgame comes out (maybe an extra day here or there, depending on where you are) and Marvel fans find out exactly how the Infinity Saga ends. We’re betting it’s not with a whimper, but an almighty bang. But with a next-level blockbuster comes the prospect of having major twists or plot points spoiled online, or in person, and with leaks already sprouting, the internet is going to be a dangerous place in the coming days. As they did with Avengers: Infinity War, directors Anthony and Joe Russo have shared a letter asking fans not to ruin the big surprises for others. Last time it was #ThanosDemandsYourSilence. This time, it’s #DontSpoilTheEndgame.

Avengers: Endgame

The filmmakers wrote: “To the greatest fans in the world,

“This is it. This is the end. The end of an unprecedented narrative mosaic spanning eleven years and eleven franchises.

“For all of you who have been on this journey with us since the very beginning, sharing every high and low with your family, your friends, your classmates, your co-workers. Investing so deeply in every character and storyline. Laughing. Cheering. Shedding tears. Giving so freely of your thoughts and emotions in spirited dialogue, theories, fan art, and fan fiction. Please know that the two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last three years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to the Infinity Saga.

“Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts, and your souls into these stories, we’re once again asking for your help.

“When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.

“Remember, Thanos still demands your silence.

“As always, good luck and happy viewing… The Russo Brothers.”

There you have it – don't share spoilers, or you may find yourself blasted to the other end of the universe on Vormir, floating around for eternity with nothing to do. Or something.

The Russos' letter follows a spine-tingling new Endgame trailer, which reveals very little in the way of new footage but does throw back to every single Marvel Cinematic Universe film so far. Even The Incredible Hulk – though it does use footage of Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk rather than Edward Norton’s incarnation. In the meantime, good luck staying spoiler free before Avengers: Endgame arrives in UK cinemas on 25 April.
