As anyone who has seen him being interviewed before will tell you, Joss Whedon is excellent at being interviewed. And it's in one of his excellent interviews - this time with Entertainment Tonight - that he revealed a few titbits about Avengers 2, namely when it's going to shoot and when he came up with the idea.

Watch the red carpet interview for yourself below, and afterwards read a couple of key quotes from it at your leisure/out loud with your best Whedon impression. Warning: the following clip includes mentions of both Buffy and Dr. Horrible.

Your key quotes: "We should start shooting I think in February. I didn’t think I was gonna do the second one, but I had an idea for it before I had figured out the first one. You go into a movie not assuming that there’s going to be [a sequel]. I did sort of know, well… *if *they were to come back, I know what’s going to happen and it’s going to be awful!"

The last part of that was delivered in a comically whiny voice, so for those of you who haven't watched the clip, don't worry: it's not actually going to be awful. At least, no-one's planning it that way. The question is... which beloved character is he going to kill this time around? And will Ant-Man will be involved? And Thanos? And... and... and... more news on all of that as we get it.

As has already been revealed Avengers 2 will be shot in London, with the release set for May 2015. The first part of Marvel's Phase 2, Iron Man 3, is out on April 26 in the UK.
