Arrested Development Movie In The Works?

Apologies if you clicked on this story hoping for news about a biopic of the 'Mr Wendell' singers. This is about the TV show. Jason Bateman spoke to E Online over the weekend and uttered the words that we've been waiting to hear for so long: "I can confirm that a round of sniffing has started [on an Arrested Development movie]".

We never really imagined the sniffing part, but we've been praying that the Bluth's would live again ever since poor ratings lead Fox to cancel the best sitcom of the decade after numerous second chances.

Bateman says it's not a definite yet, but that discussions are starting. "Any talk is targeting a poststrike situation, of course," He continued. "I think, as always, that it's a question of whether the people with the money are willing to give our leader, Mitch Hurwitz, what he deserves for his participation. And I can speak for the cast when I say our fingers are crossed."

We will personally give Mr Hurwitz £17 and a pristine copy of the original screenplay for Juno that is sitting on our desk. If he gets going quickly, we will also throw in a Lucasfilm novelty pen and a half eaten bagel. What more could you ask?

Jeffrey Tambor, papa Bluth, has also confirmed he'd be interested and other cast members are said to be keen. Keep the fingers on your non-hooked hand crossed for this to become a reality.
