International man of action and butt-kicker extraordinaire Jackie Chan will be traversing the globe with his next project, a re-make of Jules Verne's Around The World in Eighty Days. Rather than sporting the beard and pipe of Phileas Fogg, Chan will play Fogg's trusty butler Passepartout, who defends his master during their epic voyage. The emphasis in this new take on the story will shift the focus in Passepartout's favour, doubtless giving Chan ample opportunity to open up a can of acrobatic whup-ass on various global communities. The story remains much the same with a wager leaving adventurous soul Phileas Fogg bound to complete a circuit of the globe in 80 days accompanied by his trusty manservant. Chan plans to start the project after completing work on Shanghai Knights.
