Darren Aronofsky is currently restricting his filmic output to films with violent nouns as their titles. He's already committed to boxing drama The Fighter, with Mark Wahlberg and Brad Pitt, and now he's signed for The Wrestler with Nicolas Cage, reports comingsoon.net.

The film tells the story of Randy 'The Ram' Robinson, a burned out pro-wrestler, who, following a heart attack, hangs up his baby oil and moves in with an aging stripper and her son and takes a job at a deli. But then he's lured out of retirement and making sandwiches to take on his nemesis, The Ayatollah, one. More. Time.

Expect The Fonger next year, with Alan Tudyk reprising his role from A Knight's Tale.
