Arnold Schwarzenegger is not a man that – outside of his brief stint running the US Apprentice – could easily be contained by the TV screen. But like so many of his contemporaries, he's now heading that way via a series from Skydance TV.

The series, which was created by Scorpion's Nick Santora, doesn't have an announced title yet, but it certainly sounds like Arnie will be revisiting True Lies territory, as it's described as a global spy adventure with a father and daughter at the centre of the story.

Schwarzenegger will be an executive producer on the series, which Skydance is preparing to pitch to various streaming services and is in the early process of looking for someone to play the daughter on the show.

As for his next cinematic work, Schwarzenegger is part of the cast for Kung Fury II and he's attached to the long-developing Twins sequel, Triplets.
