Army Of The Dead: New Images From Zack Snyder’s Zombie Heist Thriller

With all the attention paid to his cut of Justice League, it can be easy to forget that Zack Snyder has another film headed our way this year – post-apocalyptic zombie action thriller Army Of The Dead. New images are online from the Netflix film and you can see them in the gallery lower down the page.

Having sat on Snyder's To Do list since at least the days of Watch­men, the film has a script by the di­rec­tor, Shay Hat­ten and Joby Harold. The story finds Ella Pur­nel­l’s Kate headed into a dan­ger­ous, quar­an­tined Las Ve­gas, site of a zom­bie out­break, in­tend­ing to dis­cover the source of the un­dead prob­lem. When she be­comes trapped in the zone, her dad (Dave Bautista) as­sem­bles a group of mer­ce­nar­ies to help res­cue her, with the gang tempted by the chance to rob the casinos while they’re there.

Omari Hardwick, Theo Rossi, Garret Dillahunt, Raül Castillo, and Ana de la Reguera also make up the cast, with more recent addition Tig Notaro replacing Chris D’Elia.

Netflix has yet to announce an official launch date for the movie beyond "summer 2021". A prequel film and anime spin-off are both in the works. We'd be shocked if a teaser trailer didn't follow soon.
