He's received some of the highest praise of his career for romantic drama Call Me By Your Name, and Armie Hammer remains a man in demand. He's now set to star in a new thriller from Annapurna Pictures that has landed its leading man but remains without an actual title.
Under The Shadow's Babak Anvari is writing and directing the film, which follows a New Orleans bartender whose life takes a chaotic turn thanks to a mysterious phone left behind where he works. When he picks it up, strange things start to happen. May we suggest the title Destiny Calls at this point? No? Suit yourselves, movie folk.
Annapurna is aiming to have this one in cinemas by March of next year, so it'll be gearing up to shoot soon. As for Hammer, he's scored more kudos for Sorry To Bother You, which just screened at the Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews, and has a role alongside Felicity Jones in Ruth Bader Ginsberg biopic On The Basis Of Sex.
