Armie Hammer Off To Cut Bank

He’s currently busy hi-ho Silver-ing (sounds rude) and awaying (sounds… less rude) with Johnny Depp on the set of The Lone Ranger, but Armie Hammer is considering his future. He’s now set to join an eclectic cast for crime thriller Cut Bank.

From a 2009 Black List script by Robert Patino, Cut Bank is set in the titular Montana town. It’ll follow the story of Dwayne McLaren, a high school sports star turned car mechanic who's desperate to escape the clutches of his small-town existence.

But when he grabs a chance to do just that, it ends up changing the lives of everyone around him. Hammer will be leading off a cast that also includes John Malkovich, Michael Sheen, Sir Benjamin Kingsley and Teresa Palmer.

Matt Shankman will make his film directing debut with the movie, though he’s got lots of quality telly under his belt including Six Feet Under, House and a little show called Mad Men. He’ll start calling the shots this autumn.
