We got used to seeing Pilou Asbaek messing around on the water as the scheming Euron Greyjoy in Game Of Thrones. It's fitting, then, that his next big film role will be one involving a fair amount of the wet stuff, albeit largely via effects work. He's joining the cast of the Aquaman sequel.
Asbaek's role is unknown for now, but he'll appear with Jason Momoa and the Atlantean gang in the film, which is also keeping its plot a secret as director James Wan gears up to start production.
Wan will again produce alongside Peter Safran, while David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is back to write the script. If we had to guess, we could see Asbaek digging into his villainous side again, but like Mads Mikkelsen's addition to the next Indiana Jones, perhaps we shouldn't judge too quickly based on past work.
