Warning: there’s another film on the way about a quirky loser coaching a team of loveable misfits to success.
Clearly trying to emulate the success of School Of Rock’s Jack Black – but hoping to avoid the pitfalls of Bad News Bears’ Billy Bob Thornton – Seann William Scott has signed up to star in Gary The Tennis Coach.
Andy Stock and Rick Stempson’s script revolves around an overenthusiastic high school janitor who takes on a team of oddball tennis players and helps them reach the Nebraska state championship, while also helping them overcome their misfit pasts.
Nothing much on the panic-o-meter so far. But here’s where the sirens go off: the film sees Scott reunite with his Dude where’s My Car director, Danny Leiner. Oh, goody.
