Listed as in talks for the project a little over a week ago, it would appear that James McAvoy has made a deal to star in M. Night Shyamalan’s new film. And now we know who will be joining him in the cast as Anya Taylor-Joy, Betty Buckley, Jessica Sula and Haley Ku Richardson are all now aboard the mysterious low-budget thriller.

This new one is being kept a closely guarded secret, but it will, as is often the case with the director, shoot in Philadelphia. And, like The Visit – budgeted at Blumhouse’s standard $5 million, which Shyamalan put up himself – it’ll be another less expensive effort. The spirit of mystery, of course means that we have no idea what McAvoy will be up to. What we do know is that Shyamalan will start the cameras rolling this November and we can expect the film next year.

And that info blackout extends to the new arrivals, though Variety’s report did include word that Taylor-Joy and Buckley will be leads opposite McAvoy while Sula and Richardson are in supporting roles.

Taylor-Joy is drawing a lot of praise for her leading role in horror movie** The Witch**, set to haunt these shores on March 11 next year. Buckley, a veteran of Shyamalan’s The Happening, has a role in an episode of HBO drama The Leftovers. Sula has worked on US TV series Eye Candy and Recovery Road while Richardson in comedy The Bronze, which like The Witch drew a lot of attention at Sundance, has been stuck in limbo thanks to the collapse of production company Relativity, but is now in the hands of Sony Pictures Classics. She’s currently at work on a thriller called Follow.
