Just last week, we learned that the likes of Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Dennis Quaid and Michael Fassbender had joined the cast of Steven Soderbergh's spy thriller Knockout. And now comes word that Channing Tatum is signed and Antonio Banderas may also jump aboard.

Tatum has nabbed a relatively small role a military man named Aaron, one of the elite specialists who make up the team originally lead by Mallory Kane (martial arts fighter Gina Carano), and who is sent to try to bring her in once she gets double-crossed and goes rogue to try to discover who is setting her up. Suffice to say, he doesn't come out of it very well...

If Banderas agrees to join the movie, he'll play the head of Kane's unit, and one of the dodgy figures who is plotting her downfall.

Soderbergh is in the middle of scouting for the perfect locations and The Playlist's report points to Turkey losing out over tax issues and New Mexico, Barcelona and Dublin all locked in for the shoot, which kicks off next month.
