Anti-Oscars Announced

Tom Green must be so proud, on the eve of an Academy Award night that would make Oscar history, the Freddy Got Fingered star landed no less than four awards of his own. Worst Actor, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay and Worst On Screen Couple ('Tom Green and any animal he abuses') were all bestowed upon Green at this year's Golden Raspberry Awards. Also landing Worst Picture, Freddy Got Fingered was undoubtedly film of the evening with five wins placing it equal with Wild Wild West and The Postman in the Razzies' annals of badness. But, just to show he can take a joke, Green became the first recipient in the awards' 22 year history to turn up and accept his trophies in person. "I'd just like to say to all the other nominees in the audience, I don't think that I deserve it anymore than the rest of you," said Green accepting his dishonours. "I'd like to say that. I don't think that it would be true, though." Following Freddy Got Fingered into the hall of shame was Tim Burton's Planet of The Apes, which took Worst Remake or Sequel, Worst Supporting Actress for Estella Warren and Worst Supporting Actor for Charlton Heston. Mariah Carey managed to shock no one with a well-deserved Worst Actress win.
