While it seemed for a while as though Paramount was spending most of its time setting up new Transformers movies instead of making any of them, it is pushing ahead with the Steven Caple Jr-directed seventh main film in the franchise and the company is now zeroing in on a star. The studio's choice? Anthony Ramos.

The actor, who broke out big on stage in Hamilton is poised for another leap with this summer's In The Heights, and he's now in negotiations to star.

While the actual plot of Joby Harold's script is still being kept quiet, Collider has heard that Ramos' role would be "a flawed and vulnerable hero who has made mistakes in his life and is eager to redeem himself with the help of Optimus Prime."

There's no release date or title for this one yet, but it certainly appears to be moving forward faster than some of the other Transformers projects under construction.
