Recently, Ansel Elgort was one of the potential candidates to take over the role of Han Solo. He didn't land that job, and now he's turned his attention to actual fantasy instead of space fantasy. He's in talks to star in Warner Bros.' new Dungeons And Dragons film.

Not a lot of specifics are known about the film's plot itself yet, though Deadline has heard that it'll concern a warrior and his band of mystical pals on dangerous quest to find a mythical treasure. Which, to be sure, is just the sort of generic plot you might expect a Dungeons And Dragons movie to have, especially one trying to avoid releasing specifics just yet.

This one has been in development for a while, and was delayed when Hasbro filed a legal claim to the rights. Now, though, it appears to be back on track with David Leslie Johnson writing the script and Goosebumps' Rob Letterman winning the directing job. How Elgort will fit in won't be known until he actually signs on the dotted line, but we'd expect to keep hearing more about this one even if the very name keeps bringing up horrid memories of the 2001 release.

Elgort, a stalwart of the Divergent films, will also be seen in Billionaire Boys Club and Edgar Wright's Baby Driver.
