Just days after drafting Ryan Philippe into her Iraq war drama Stop-Loss, director Kimberly Peirce has enlisted Channing Tatum.
Tatum, last seen in Amanda Bynes comedy She’s The Man, will play a respected fellow soldier from Texas. The film sees Philippe’s trooper called back to service under the army’s Stop-Loss system, but has him refusing to return to duty. With her cast finally falling into place. Peirce plans to start shooting in August.
