Anne Heche, star of Volcano and Psycho and former lover of Ellen DeGeneres, has signed a deal with publisher Scribner to tell her life story, at the tender age of 31. Heche's rise to fame wasn't easy, and her early life was marked by tragedy. Her father died of AIDS when she was just 14, and she also lost her brother in a car crash three years later. Her sister, Susan Bergman, has already written a book, Anonymity, which chronicles their father's secret life and their troubled childhood. Heche's first big acting job came playing twins Marley and Victoria on daytime soap Another World, where she worked for four years. Before her relationship with DeGeneres, Heche had dated Steve Martin, but she claimed that the job offers dried up after she came out as a lesbian. After her recent split with DeGeneres, Heche was hospitalised after she was found wandering L.A in a confused state. With so much crammed into her life so far, it seems Heche's autobiography might actually be far more interesting than any of her movies.
