It’s Catwoman and Bat-director! Together again! After Anne Hathaway proved to be a superbly crafty Selina Kyle for The Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan is now locking down a deal to work with her again on his trip into space, Interstellar.

According to Deadline, Hathaway looks likely to sign on opposite Matthew McConaughey, whose casting was mooted at the end of March and confirmed shortly thereafter.

So, what is Interstellar actually about? Well, based on what we know so far, there will be some stars. And someone will travel between them. Er, and that's it. Nolan’s on fact lockdown again, but the history of the project at least gives some clues as to its sci-fi goodness.

Originated by Steven Spielberg in 2006 after he was intrigued by the wormhole theories of Caltech physicist Kip S Thorne, the project at first boasted a script by Jonah Nolan. It sat in the Spiel-ship for years of development cryosleep before news emerged in January that Nolan the elder would take over directing and planned to combine Jonah’s draft with an original idea of his own. With Thorne sticking around to provide technical consulting skills, we’d predict a voyage into the scientifically-vaguely-feasible. Probably with a Hans Zimmer score.

Currently set for release in November next year, Interstellar should be shooting this summer.
