Anne Hathaway can be seen singing her heart out in the teaser trailer for** Les Miserables**, which recently went online. So it's appropriate that when a project called Song One came up, her name was connected with it.
Hathaway is currently circling a lead in the film, which Kate Barker-Froyland wrote and plans to make as her directorial debut. The plot would see Hathaway as a young woman who returns home to help look after her injured brother. She ends up making a love connection with his favourite musician, who in turn finds inspiration in them both.
Froyland has a history with Hathaway: she was assistant to director David Frankel while he was making The Devil Wears Prada. Hathaway is already aboard to produce Song One.
Whether she’ll actually star is another matter though, as Variety points out, she’s attached to various movies, none of which are actually set to shoot any time soon. She’ll next be on our screens in little-known superhero frolic The Dark Knight Rises (which finally arrives on July 20) and the aforementioned Les Mis, which will hit these shores on January 11 next year.
