'I miss her. I love Selena so much...'

Now before anyone gets too excited, there are no plans for a Catwoman spin-off. Warner Bros. have made no mention of giving Anne Hathaway's Selena Kyle her own big screen story – it would have to be set before The Dark Knight Rises, presumably? – and no-one, anywhere, has brought up Halle Berry's crack of the whip back in 2004.

What has happened is that Ms. Hathaway has said some very encouraging things about the idea, though the chances of it coming to pass are, of course, very slim indeed.

So if you're up for a rather touching quote from the **Les Misérables **star (via Access Hollywood) on how much she adored the role and would love to return to it, read on, dear Bat-fan, read on:

*"No one's talked to me about it. I would love it. Actually, it's so embarrassing, I was at a press Q & A thing the other night for a screening of The Dark Knight Rises, and the moderator asked me, 'So what was it like to say goodbye to the character?' And I burst into tears, because I miss her."

"It just makes me cry. I miss her. I love Selena so much and I love her presence in my life and getting to… I'm crying again. So assuming there was enough Kleenex in the world, I would love to do a spin-off."

If you want to relive the joys of her take on the iconic character, remember that The Dark Knight Rises is now available on DVD and Blu-ray, as well as a variety of other formats. Les Misérables, on the other hand, is out in the UK on January 11 and the US on Christmas Day.
