Just before the weekend, news arrived that Aaron Paul had signed on to star in Zack Whedon’s mystery thriller Come And Find Me. Now we know whom he’ll be trying to track down, as Annabelle Wallis has landed the other lead role.
**Come And Find Me **sees Paul as David, who becomes desperately worried when his girlfriend Claire (Wallis) vanishes. But his mission is given even more impetus when he realises that she has been lying to him, and pretending to be someone she’s not.
Whedon – part of the scriptwriting family factory that also boasts Joss, Jed and Maurissa Tancharoen – wrote the script a few years ago, and saw it hit the 2012 Black List. While that’s not always the most reliable arbiter of screenplay quality these days, at least in terms of the finished products, Whedon has a solid reputation in writing TV and earned praise for the work he put on Joss’ Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. Shooting is scheduled to kick off next month in Vancouver.
Wallis, who has appeared in the likes of Annabelle (no relation – she was the scary doll who scored a prequel to The Conjuring) and TV’s Peaky Blinders, has worked on Sacha Baron Cohen comedy Grimsby, psychological thriller Mine and Guy Ritchie’s new King Arthur film, which has just wrapped.
