Anna Paquin Joins Scream 4

The Scream franchise has a history of the celebrity cameo, usually to be found screaming as they’re hacked apart. Everyone remembers Drew Barrymore’s anguished run through the house in the first film, and now it seems Scream 4 is keeping the tradition alive with Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin making cameos.

It’s not known exactly what parts the pair are playing, but we don’t like their chances for a long life expectancy.

USA Today reports that the movie is already busy filming in and around Ann Arbor Michigan, and we already know that old hands Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell and David Arquette are being joined by the likes of Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin and Marley Shelton.

Oh, and according to the Heat Vision Blog, the script runs to a heavy 140 pages{ =nofollow}, which makes us wonder just how long the final film will be. We assume, of course, that director Wes Craven will let Ghostface into the editing room so he can slice the thing up. But he’s still planning to shoot a lot of it, with most of the cast agreeing to extend their time working on the movie. Hmm, is that a DVD Extended Edition we can hear?
