Sometimes films just disappear for no apparent reason. Such was the case with Roger Dodger director Dylan Kidd's Get A Job, which shot four years ago but somehow ended up falling into distribution limbo. This morning, however, it's emerged blinking into the light with its first trailer. Anna Kendrick, a then-almost-unknown Miles Teller and a pitch-hitting supporting cast star in the rom-com. Get your first, much-belated glimpse below.
The zeitgeisty plot takes in a group of recent college graduates who have been thrown back out into the real world only to find that adulthood doesn’t quite match up with their expectations. Teller is Will Davies, who finally finds his real calling after slogging through an entry-level job. He’s dating Kendrick's Jillian, a type-A personality who lives according to a strict plan. His dad Roger (Bryan Cranston) is stuck hunting for a new job at the same time as his son is having his employment epiphany. Stir and simmer.
Alison Brie, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Marcia Gay Harden, John Cho, John C. McGinley, Nicholas Braun, Brandon T. Jackson, Marc Maron and Jay Pharoah are all part of the film's extended rep company. And while we still don't have a release date in the UK, Get A Job will at last find employment in the US on March 25.
