We're always surprised when movies have been shooting for a while yet still announce castmembers, especially if they're not voice-over roles. Jungle Cruise is adding Ghost Stories' Andy Nyman, Veronica Falcon and Dani Rovia.

Dwayne Johnson is starring in the film, which is based on the Disney theme park ride that has guests riding rivers around the world. Set in the early 20th century, the story sees Johnson's boat captain taking Emily Blunt's Lily and her brother (Jack Whitehall) on an expedition in the Amazon jungle to find a tree that is said to possess healing powers.

They'll face trouble not just from wild animals, but a competing German group on the hunt for the tree. Nyman is on as Sir James Hobbs-Coddington, while the characters for the other two have yet to be announced.

With a current script from Michael Green and Jaume Collet-Serra directing, the cast also includes Paul Giamatti, Edgar Ramírez and Jesse Plemons. Jungle Cruise sails into US cinemas on 11 October next year, but has yet to confirm a UK date.
