Anyone too young to remember the eccentric comedian and practical joker that was Andy Kaufman should at least have a passing familiarity with the his quirky brand of genius thanks to Jim Carrey's re-construction of his life in Man on the Moon. What you probably don't know, however, is that before his death from lung cancer on May 16, 1984, Kaufman told best friend and partner, Bob Zmuda, that, he planned to fake his death and then resurface two decades later on the day of his 'death' for a triumphant return. The day in question is 16 May 2004, which those of you with access to a calendar or similar date-keeping device will know is this very weekend. To that end we bid you all keep an eye out for the comedian, lest he pop up at a joke joint near you on Sunday. Zmuda of course is going one step further and has organised a party at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.
